It was our mothers rental property since 1987 and the garage had been converted without permits. Elizabeth did a long analysis on the risks and benefits of legalizing the converted garage. As I am sure many of you are aware, it was a very tedious process for her, but in the end it was all well worth the wait. Not only did we get 2 offers over asking, but the market also recovered while she worked on the permit. In the end, we were thrilled.
